The essay, Civil Disobedience, Represent Which Type of Writing?
The essay, Civil Disobedience, Represent Which Type of Writing? The essay, written in the form of a question, presented to be answered in two or three paragraphs, is called a question. The question-bearer poses a problem to the reader, who is given a choice of his or her own. A question presents us with an interest and gives us the freedom to make up our own mind as to the best answer, and although we do not always make a choice, it is this attitude of curiosity that makes the essay, civil disobedience, represents which type of writing?Writing for an essay is like writing for a thesis in English composition: it is not necessarily a very interesting thesis, but is it a valid thesis? I suppose not - a thesis is as good as the author's opinion, an opinion that isn't at all constant, but how many professors would object to the exercise of writing for an essay? An essay, civil disobedience, represents which type of writing? If you make the mistake of thinking that essay writing is the work of scholars, then you are sadly mistaken. We write as students, we choose topics as students, we ask questions as students, we get into arguments as students, we go into debates as students, we think things over as students and we write down our reflections as students.Though a writer's self-expression and creativity are highly valued in academia, most students still tend to write for an essay rather than for a thesis. Some essays even involve no argument at all, just the writing of facts and observations that serve as a basis for further examination. Because of the increased specialization of universities, the student has less freedom to be creative, and when he does, it is usually in writing for a thesis, not for an essay. Thus, the writer feels trapped, but the writing for an essay does not become more dangerous than writing for a thesis. The writer still needs to define the subject of the essay, but he or she does not have to explain it. The only difference is that the student ca nnot state the problem straight away, he or she needs to get the other students' agreement, and then state the problem itself. Not all questions must be written in the form of an essay. The essay, civil disobedience, represents which type of writing? If you make the mistake of thinking that essay writing is the work of scholars, then you are sadly mistaken. We write as students, we choose topics as students, we ask questions as students, we get into arguments as students, we go into debates as students, we think things over as students and we write down our reflections as students. An essay, civil disobedience, represents which type of writing? Though the essay does not need to be written according to any particular style, it must at least be written for some specific purpose, and that purpose is to present an argument. And for this reason, essay writing has become a type of argument, and in many cases, the essay, civil disobedience, represents which type of writing? An essay, civil di sobedience, represents which type of writing? An argument, yes. But an argument is not really writing for an essay, it is writing for a course, or for a thesis, and it is writing for a purpose, a goal - a set of facts, to be presented in a particular way, to be thought through.
